Thank you for giving us an opportunity to write in this guest book.  Max’s stories are very entertaining.

So nice to hear from you. You may be pleased to know that I just learned this morning that I am to be showcased next month on the Canadian Musicians Magazine website.

On November 1, I am to receive the Writers International Network’s 2014 Distinguished Author and Artist Award.

I am also shortlisted for the 2014 ASA Australian Songwriters Contest, finalists to be announced next month.

You are extremely talented...enjoyed this. Take this to the masses!

I hope to do just that.

Cheers,

Max Tell

Thank you so much.

Cheers,

Max Tell

Hey Max,

I enjoyed meeting you at the presentation and poetry workshop at the University Golf Club. Though I only got to hear you recite one of your poems, I knew I was interested in hearing more. I'm looking forward to receiving your CD The Land of Graws. It was interesting to hear some of what you have done in the past and even more interesting to hear of your future plans. I wish you well.

Next summer I'll be looking for you in White Rock, performing for all the children and adults who haven't forgotten what it's like to be young. I'll make sure to seek you out to catch up on what you're up to next.

All the best!

Joyce Peatch

Joyce,

Thank you for the card. I don't have any bookings set up for the near future, but I will keep you invormed. Thank you for your interest.

All the best,

max

"Super fun singer & story teller extraordinaire, Max Tell, entertained us at Childgarden Preschool Tuesday & Wednesday. He had the children engaged, participating with singing and actions, and so much laughter. A beautiful sound! Thanks Max Tell!" - Sue Woodward, Director & Early Childhood Educator, Child Garden Preschool, 673 Firdale Street, Coquitlam, BC, V3J 6N2

Hi Boys and Girls of Child Garden Preschool,

I received your pictures today. They are soooooooo wonderful. Thank you. I have just moved, but as soon as I can, I will post your pictures on Facebook. All of you are sooooooo sweet. I look forward to seeing you again.

Love to you all,

Max

PS: Please let Ms. Woodward (Sue) know that I and a few of my poems have been featured for Chritstmas: http://issuu.com/rclas/docs/december_2013_rclas_wordplay__at_wo

Thanks again!

We saw you in WhiteRock and instantly fell in love! As a teacher and mother of two, I was excited to find a new source of children's music besides the usual ones. My favorite song is Flocci-nauci-nihili-pili-ficators (although rum-pie diddle-ie is a close second!), Rory’s (age 2)  is Barnabus the fishie, and Oliver doesn’t have one yet...but he’s only 8 weeks so we’ll give him some time!

We’ll spread the word and might get a few for friends for Christmas.

Thanks again,

Ann and family

Hi Ann,

I just thought I'd check to see how your kids are doing and whether they are still enjoying my CDs.

I hope you and your family are having a wonderful day.

Max

Dear Ann,

My apologies for taking so long to answer. My Guest Book perameters were changed, and I didn't know how to reply. Now, I got it.

Thank you so much. Please say high to Rory and Oliver. I've just posted a few more songs recorded during a receint interview. You may listen to the songs alone or with some of the interview added.

Check them out. The latest four track that were added are the ones to check out.

Have a wonderful day.

Dear Max,

Thank you for giving us good ideas when we were working on our poems.  Our favourite poems were: Vomit Comet and the Pirate Who Lost His Parts.  We forgot to tell you that but we still remember how funny they were, even four months later.

We also read your poster of The Goalie and it reminded us of when the Canucks were in the playoffs against Boston.  That was very exciting for our teacher and our city.  The Goalie is a wonderful poem and we like the repeating drama of it.

We're sorry we never sent you our poems.  Some of us may try to write a couple before the end of the year, so stay posted.

Thank you again for connecting with us.  You seem very creative and fun.

Sincerely,

General Wolfe's Grade 3 Class with Mrs. Collins

(Your friend from CWILL BC)

Hi Guys and Gals,

My apologies for taking so long to answer.

I'm so pleased you liked my poems. When you have time, I look forward to reading some of yours.

Please check out a few new songs posted on SoundCloud.

Looking forward to receiving your poems. Have a happy day.

PS: Sarah,

The first six are fairly recent posts. The first 4 are duplicates of 2 songs aired on SFU Radio's "Melodies of Mind" last Tuesday, with and without part of my interview with the show's host, Ryan Fletcher.

Hi boys and girls of General Wolfe,

How is your poetry writing going?

I have some great news I'd like to share with you. I've been featured in the December issue of the Royal City Literary Arts Society newsletter. They have also included a few of my Christmas poems, songs, and one story. Here is a link.

I look forward to reading your poems soon.

That's awesome, Max Tell! Thank you for doing what you do. You are making a positive and inspiring impression upon the children.

P.S. I love the song "No More Monkeys".

  • Hi Max. I loved your video and I can really relate I had 3 special people who helped me feel smart. Years later when I was in collage studying education I came to understand that I was dyslexic. Without the help I received I shudder to think of where I would have ended up.  God Bless. - Terry, Facebook, Sunday, July 15, 2012

As a trained theatre artist, Max presents a highly polished show that puts him in a league of his own. His music is wonderfully accessible for all ages. When performing Max has an ability to be “in the moment” and connect with his audience with a sense of joy and genuine humour. Working with Max was a pleasure and his performances definitely added to the celebration at our Grand Opening.

- Mairi Macrae, Public Programs Librarian, Whitehorse Public Library, Dec 2, 2011

Exquisitely powerful delivery. Your pacing and punctuation of "The Well" with pauses and enactments was superb.

I visited your website and listened to some of your samples. I really love the premise of The Heart Shaped Tree (I'm a big Shakespeare fan), and love the idea of sharing the message with young children! Definitely two thumbs up in my book!

- Stephanie Yost, posted from Grammy personal mail, November 7, 2011

Max has playful, yet meaningful insight into what children need to hear. His songs create giddiness and lightness in the heart; and speaking of hearts, Max's recent recording of his story, The Heart Shaped Tree, has huge family appeal with a thought proving message about acceptance, peace and harmony - his articulate voice is warm and inviting.

In your telling of the The Heart Shaped Tree your voice is so melodious and the story very well told. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

As we left a coffee shop, Max and I saw a young mother with her baby. Max leaned over and smiled and the baby gurgled back happily. After asking permission from the mother, Max sang "The Bug Song" to the baby. The smiles on their faces as we continued on our way speaks to Max's ability. Whether it is an audience of two or twenty or two hundred or two thousand the happiness and the joy that he leaves in his wake is truly remarkable.
